A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.

This film is about a drummer with a tough music teacher. Sounds simple, and it is, but this film is very intense! Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons put on dramatic and fierce acting performances that cut through to the bone. I don't even know if blinked while watching this movie. I do know my heart rate went up. When you're in the mood for a hard-hitting drama check out Whiplash.
