Silver Linings Playbook

After a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.

I don't know if this is truly an under-the-radar film, but if somehow you missed this movie than for you it certainly is. It came out in 2012, a couple years after The Hangover and the same year as The Hunger Games, when the careers of Jennifer Lawrence' and Bradley Cooper were on the rise. They both play really messed up far from perfect people dealing with a lot of problems who strike up a sort-of relationship learning to dance. It's a little dark, somewhat depressing, pretty F'ed up, and more of a serious drama, but at the same time it's a pretty funny comedy. It's a different sort of balance, and I think results in a very entertaining and enjoyable watch.
