Memento

PeanutButterFalcon.jpg

A man with short-term memory loss attempts to track down his wife's murderer.

Memento is a very well-known movie among the cult following it has, but I would like to see it go more mainstream. It's really a brilliant murder mystery movie told in a very clever and unique way – unlike any other traditional format. The character has a condition that doesn't allow him to retain short-term memories, so he constantly leaves himself notes regarding his investigation. Not only that, but the way it's filmed and edited is to put you in his shoes. Something is happening, and you (nor he) have any idea why. Then after it happens, it goes back to show you what happened BEFORE that moment which lead up to it. The non-linear format make it extremely rewarding to watch.
