Automata

The human race is at the edge of the end. A robot race is at the edge of the beginning.

Automata is a Spanish-Bulgarian film (in English). The principals of the A.I. in this film is similar to and based on the three laws of robotics as introduced by author Isaac Asimov. In Automata there are two protocols: (1) Robots cannot harm a life and (2) Robots cannot alter itself or others. And of course, this film revolves around robots who are self-aware and want to live. It's a slower more dramatic film in its story and pacing, which allows you to build an emotional attachment to robots.
